Hello, I’m Shannon!
I married my guy who rode his lawnmower across America, proposed to me on the Family Feud, and whooped me in basketball to win my heart;)
Ryan holds the kindest soul, the funniest jokes, and is the daddy to our three little girls + one boy, whom I adore to no end.
I live for being his wife, being a mom to our 4 sweet babies, and saving others’ little babies as an ER nurse.
We live a simple life together on a new adventure living in Hawaii, trying to be good people, and share a little sunshine along the way.
Thank you for being here with us, it means the world.

Oh, and I have this passion. Not just a little tickle passion, but one that when you talk about it you can barely contain yourself passion. These feelings range from pregnancy to birth to motherhood. The joy of it all runs so deep in my soul that I know I need to share. But — who am I to create this space for mothers? Well, a wise soul once told me that ‘each of us is given a light straight from our maker to change the world,’ and I believed her. So, here I am, apprehensive and nervous, but determined to do so.
——–
I have a home life and a work life. The two are kept very separate, yet so closely intertwined.
Let me explain.
I go to work at the children’s hospital one day a week. On that day there is a chance I will witness a miracle and a chance I will see death. Sometimes neither, sometimes both. Within the walls of my job as a pediatric nurse I have witnessed mothers fall to their knees and weep at the loss of their child. I have sat with them at their child’s bedside as tears fall on their babies face that was just taken from them, only to see these parents try to leave but come back several times just to say goodbye one last time. I have always had a special place in my heart for motherhood. I’ve dreamed about being a mother my entire life. But through these experiences in my job—sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes miraculous, but always spiritual—I have found a purpose that is bigger than I had planned for myself. I have developed a drive to encourage other mothers to find joy in their journey, become intentional and positive, and be confident in themselves. Motherhood is challenging. It comes with a heaviness that can create emotional whirlwinds. Yet, there is a divine love so finely tuned in heaven between a mother and her child that makes our hearts ache to be great mothers. It is possible, and it can be as beautiful as we allow it to be.
So here we are. In this small little corner of the internet that I created to provide support through the challenges of motherhood and encourage a positive parenting approach. It has changed my life completely. I hope to provide an ocean content for you by working along side the experts, with my own thoughts intertwined. I strongly believe that happiness comes from progress. So here’s to encouraging progress and creating confidence for you to follow your heart, and embrace your intuitions. Because if I believe one thing about raising children, it’s this: “None of us are as smart as all of us.” Let’s teach our children how to live a happy, positive, and intentional life. It starts with us, and they deserve it. Oh, and last thing … it’s ok to have a bad mom day — we all have them. Remember progress, not perfection. Every single one of us is capable of that. I say this with all the respect and love in my heart for you. Thank you for being here, it means the world. Stay with me. xo
Love,
